No doubt, Dua Lipa is an iconic artists in the world of music. No matter what genre it is, her magical voice will suits anything. Collaborating with some massive producers on the game, this year was a huge one for Dua as she got some serious tunes including IDGAF, One Kiss, Electricity, Kiss and Make Up etc.
To add more in to this years achievements, Dua Lipa just nominated for 2 Grammy Awards under Best New Artist and the other for Best Dance Recording.
Dua Lipa was in a meeting Friday morning (Dec. 7) when her phone started blowing up. “When people started to FaceTime me, I knew something had happened,”
“I had to stop [the meeting] because I started crying,” she says. “I haven’t really been able to process it. I’ve been crying all morning. I’m really excited and grateful and taken back by the response. It’s hard for me to put it into words.”

As Ariana Grande, Dua Liap also said that as female artists, they got to work hard than male artists to show the world what they got.
“I feel like the industry has been dominated by men for such a long time,” she says. “To wake up and be nominated in the best new artist category, where every artist except for two [Luke Combs and Greta Van Fleet] is a woman, that’s a good feeling. I’m so proud of all the girls, because I do feel like we need to work a bit harder, and that’s not taking the merits away from any male artist — I know how demanding this job can be. I just feel really grateful to be nominated alongside so many talented women I admire, and some I
even call my friends.”
