After releasing a brand new album, he’s not stopping. KYGO reveals he’s with The Weeknd jamming in the studio in a latest interview with Apple Music.
Kygo recently sat down with Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe for the Beats 1 host’s “At Home With” series to chat about the record and what he hopes listeners get out of the music.
Golden Hour is his third album and while it’s still fresh in the air, he’s making news.
The interview featured a lots of topics including his with Martin Garrix, his appreciation of Bon Iver, his experience writing with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and also about KYGO working with The Weeknd.
“I would love to make sound with The Weeknd,” Kygo gushed. “That’s been in the… We’ve been jamming before. I really hope that will happen one day. Actually, we were in a studio jamming.
But we got to figure it out if that’s the song we can make another one.”
This is not the first time these name s come together as KYGO remixed The Weeknd‘s single “Often”.
At the time writing, no one confirms about an upcoming collaboration, but with this news fans can have some hope.
KYGO also said that working with ED Sheeran will be his dream collaboration.
“But definitely, I would love to work with him, like Ed Sheeran,” he said. “I would travel anywhere to meet this guy and then jam them in the studio. Hopefully, we can make it work.”
